I used to do wedding photography, so I have been to many interesting weddings, but my niece’s truly takes the prize.
She and her husband were married in Vegas in 2004 at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. He wore a long black jacket (think of Matrix) and she wore a black lacy (with purple satin under) renaissance type dress with a black veil. The attendants wore black and carried black roses. Everyone wore black to the wedding. Oh, yes, I almost forgot ! Dracula came out of a coffin at the altar and officiated. ROFTL!!! They had a fog machine, too. The place looked like a cemetery.
They waited 2 weeks to have the reception back at home in Northern CA. Reception night came on the Saturday before Halloween, so it was a costume reception. The cake was lavender and had spiders. My sister (mother of the bride) was Elvira, I was the wicked witch of the west complete with green face. Husband was a pirate and my 5 yo was Peter Pan. The costumes were great. It was a very fun reception !!!
